Welcome! I am honored to serve as the new Principal of Ferriday Junior High for the 2021-2022 school term. I strongly believe that all children are important and should be given the opportunity to succeed. I believe that a “teacher affects eternity; he/she can never tell where his influence stops” Henry Adams Brooks.
During this upcoming school year, we will focus on Academic Learning, School Dress Code, Positive Attitudes and School Spirit. Our theme for this year is “Not Your Average Year”.
Over the last 14 years, I have served Concordia Parish students from high school to elementary. My professional credentials include a Bachelors of Art in Secondary Education with a concentration in History and Social Studies from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. I received my Masters of Science degree in Educational Administration from The University of Scranton, Scranton, PA. I also completed 27 additional post-graduate hours in School Counseling from the University of the Southwest, Hobbs, New Mexico.
I have dedicated myself to constantly learning students and finding ways to make all students successful, therefore I strongly believe in working closely to build relationships with students, parents and community members. Lastly, I look forward to working with everyone in the Ferriday community to make this school term a great one!
